Dean and Susan, an anglo-american couple, extend a very warm welcome to you at their beautiful 15th century farmhouse set on 13 lovely acres of old trees and fields in the rural heart of Normandy. Here, you will find peace and quiet, pleasant company and generous hospitality. From the moment you enter the grand avenue of soaring poplars, you will begin to experience the gracious ambiance of this wonderful old house. So, whether you are looking for a short break, a long weekend, or even a week's holiday, come to La Beauconniere and enjoy this truly special place.
Welcome to La Beauconniere
The two houses at La Beauconniere sit on opposite sides of the courtyard. The rambling old farmhouse is reserved especially for the guests.
The Old House
Depending upon the season, the delicious breakfasts are served in either of two spacious dining rooms, one in the old house or the other in your hosts' house. Table d'hotes meals are offered on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. The dinners consist of four courses and wine.
Outside, there are three lovely, secluded gardens, set up with tables and chairs. Each is a haven of peace and tranquility; an ideal place to sit and read or in which to picnic. There are also many fields and trees to enjoy and a great variety of birds. On this tranquil old dairy farm, one may simply idle the day away, enjoying the peaceful serenity of the horses or cattle grazing in the fields.

The most beautiful trail for a walk or ride begins right on our doorstep.
While you are here, you can engage in horse riding, cycling, walking on the many marked trails in the Vire Valley, or simply relaxing. Susan, who subscribes to the Parelli method of natural horsemanship, has six horses and two ponies available for those looking for equestrian pursuits, and she goes out most mornings with a small group for a gentle hack. There are also bicycles available for rent and there is a small football pitch. In addition, your hosts and their three polite, helpful children, George, Elizabeth and Oliver, are keen walkers, and would be happy to recommend a good trail to suit your requirements.
Only 40 minutes to the D-Day Landing beaches at Omaha.
