Welcome to La Beaconniere, the perfect haven at which to relax, unwind, and see the sights of Normandy.
Dean and Susan, who are an Anglo-American couple, extend a very warm welcome to you at La Beauconniere, their lovely old farmhouse B&B in the heart of the Normandy Bocage. Dean, who is an Englishman, and Susan, an American, have been offering Bed and Breakfast at their beautiful Normandy farmhouse for seven years now, and believe that they understand and cater to the standards you expect. Both are fully-recovered New York lawyers, and also spent many years as hoteliers in the UK before moving to Normandy nine years ago. They know their role as B & B proprietors and their region very well, and will do all they can to ensure that your visit to Normandy provides you with everything you want from your B and B and also fulfills all of your sightseeing expectations.
Unwind and relax at our Normandy Bed and Breakfast: Centrally located to enable you to see the D-Day Beaches, all of the other Battle of Normandy sites, Bayeux, Le Mont St. Michel, and everything else this beautiful region has to offer, all from one charming and comfortable location.
Where time stands still
La Beauconniere is a charming old dairy farm set amidst the gently rolling hills of rural Lower Normandy. It is a place where time seems to stand still; where the pressures and rush of the modern world have no place. At La Beauconniere you will find peace and tranquility, horses and cattle calmly grazing in the green fields, and birds singing in the towering old trees. Once you've experienced this charming old place for yourselves, we hope that you'll agree. So, why not choose La Beauconniére as your B&B in Normandy?
Quality and style
The two houses at La Beauconniere sit on opposite sides of the courtyard garden. The rambling old farmhouse is reserved especially for the guests and is situated more than 250 metres from a very calm country lane. Peace and quiet are assured. There are three lovely gardens set up with tables and chairs. Each one is a haven of peacefulness and tranquility, ideal for relaxing with a book, or a picnic, or for simply watching the birds.
The bed and breakfast is ideally placed to enable our guests to visit all of the sights for which this beautiful region of Lower Normandy is famous. For example, Le Mont St. Michel, the beautiful medieval city of Bayeux with its famous Tapestry, Cathedral, Battle of Normandy Museum, British War Cemetery and shopping, and all of the D-Day Landing Beaches and Second World War sites from Pegasus Bridge to Arromanches, Pointe du Hoc and Sainte Mere Eglise, are all within easy reach.
